The Voice of the PEI Tourism Industry

PEI 2014 Logo2014 will mark the 150th anniversary (sesquicentennial) of the 1864 Charlottetown Conference where the idea of Canadian confederation was born.  A reason to celebrate?  We think so!

PEI 2014 Inc. is a not-for-profit organization who is planning and executing an unforgettable 150th anniversary year that will celebrate and commemorate the historic Charlottetown Conference of 1864 and Prince Edward Island’s role in the formation of Canada. More than a celebration, 2014 events will remind us that PEI is where great ideas are born and Canadians from coast to coast to coast are invited to collaborate and participate.

Fireworks and festivities will kick off 2014 as we prepare to host an entire year’s worth of celebrations and commemorations.  This isn’t just another seasonal event!  Signature events, conferences and activities of all types are planned for every month of the year ensuring that PEI will be buzzing throughout the entirety of 2014. Winter, spring, summer, and fall – the Island will be alive with the spirit of 2014!

NOW is the time to start thinking about ways to join in Prince Edward Island’s sesquicentennial celebrations in 2014! Year-long and province-wide, the events will show off PEI at its celebratory best, and will show first-hand that when people gather here great things happen!  Stay in touch!
