Are you an aspiring Tour Guide? Do you love to showcase what PEI has to offer to visitors? Then TIAPEI’s Tour Guide Training Program might be for you! The 3-week training program offers participants the opportunity to learn national standards based off the emerit Tour Guide program from Tourism HR Canada, plus an opportunity to write the emerit exam to begin the process for obtaining Tour Guide Professional Certification, which is recognized across Canada.
This Training Program is lead by Donalda Doucette, local tour guide, who brings her extensive experience working in the industry to the Program, plus she facilitates hands-on experiences for participants to gain confidence in their tour guiding skills. Participants will learn the importance of research, and find the best resources to use when creating tours and itineraries for their guests.
